While our great nation is celebrating 239 years of ‘ independence’, America  is still deeply buried  in secrets, rooted in corruption of consortiums and extortion of money.

The barbarousness and wickedness of slavery that lasted for over 250 years, along with ‘American muscle power’ from prominent innovators (black, white, Hispanic) and the fruitfulness of immigration  that embarked on conquering ‘The American Dream,’ generated economic sustainability in America.

Although injustice and exploitation was used in creating the infrastructure of America, it is the citizens of this great land that continue to pour into its economy, creating new opportunities for others.

In celebration of July 4th let’s toast! Toast to legacy, toast to harmony, toast to peace, love, and freedom. There is still much to accomplish and much to overcome.

While our country has undergone and faced attacks of racism overt and covert, prejudiceness, social alienation and discrimination, economic loss to a recession, and terrorism, let’s never forget  that ‘United we stand and divided we fall’.

As Americans each citizen has a social responsibility to have honor and respect for all humanity, even if in disagreeance with a person’s beliefs systems.

In the words of Elizur Goodrich that are the ideology of the Constitution:

“We hold these truths to be self evident, that all men are created equal, they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.

That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed , that whenever any form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.”

We are the people, we are the government, we are American Oxygen.
